Classic Family Home

This 1950’s house needed a complete renovation to make it functional for modern day family life. The project involved an attic extension, relocating doorways on the main floor, and a full basement build-out. The 3 storey house was transformed into a stylish and comfortable home for a family of 5 with room for lots of visitors (or Air BnB guests!) via an “in-law suite” in the basement. On the main floor, an open plan living area transitioned into a white galley kitchen with shaker style cabinets and a marble splashback. The attic extension on the upper level made way for two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a custom walk-in-wardrobe. A bespoke bookcase was also added in the stair wall to showcase the family’s collection of books and bring some colour to the space. The basement build-out included a gas fireplace, secondary kitchen, and a laundry room with storage and lots of counter space for folding. A grey and navy color scheme was carried throughout the house with paint colors and soft furnishings.
